# Privacy Policy

Findow needs to see your windows to do its job. This policy explains what stays on your Mac and the little that doesn't.

## The app

Findow runs on your Mac. It has no account, and no analytics, crash reporting or tracking.

- Window titles, positions and app names are read to find and arrange windows, and are not sent anywhere.

- Workflows, grids and settings are saved on your Mac. A workflow can include window titles and the addresses of open browser tabs. Incognito tabs are skipped, and Safari tabs are off unless you turn them on.

- Previews use Screen Recording to show your windows. They are made on your Mac, kept in memory and never uploaded.

- Findow does not record what you type. It watches for its own shortcuts so that it can respond to them.

- If you export a workflow, the file goes wherever you save it.

## What the app sends

When you activate a licence, and once a day after that, Findow contacts Dodo Payments to check that your key is valid. The request contains your licence key and an activation record. It contains nothing about your windows or files.

Findow can also check for updates by fetching a version file from our release host. That request contains no personal data.

## Permissions

Accessibility opens and moves windows. Screen Recording shows previews and finds windows on other desktops. Automation reads browser tabs when you save a workflow. You can turn any of them off in System Settings.

## This website

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address. We use Umami on our own server to count visits and clicks on the buy and download buttons, without cookies. The order confirmation page, which shows your licence key, has no analytics. This website is hosted by DigitalOcean, which keeps standard server logs.

## Purchases

Dodo Payments, as merchant of record, collects your name, email, billing details and payment details. We don't see your full card number. We use your email to deliver your licence by email, answer support requests and, rarely, tell you about important product or security updates. Your licence key also appears on our thank-you page after checkout, and it isn't stored by this website.

## Sharing

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the providers named here, as needed to run the service, or where the law requires it. These providers can be in other countries, including the United States, so your data may be handled outside your own country.

## Keeping data and your rights

We use your data to deliver what you bought and meet legal duties, and for our legitimate interest in running and improving this website. Order records are kept as tax and accounting rules require. Visit statistics and server logs are kept only as long as they are useful for running this website. You can ask for a copy of your personal data, or for it to be corrected or deleted, by asking us to do so. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. To remove what Findow stored on your Mac, delete the app, its Application Support folder, its preferences, its logs in ~/Library/Logs/Findow and its Keychain item, which holds your trial details.

## Children

Findow is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

## Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and note material changes on this website.
